Online Group Chess Lessons - Frequently Asked Questions

What ages are group lessons for?
Group lessons are for ages 6 to 16. Adults and younger children aged 3 to 5 are very welcome in private lessons.
I'm an adult or my child is 3 to 5, but private lessons are too expensive. Do you have another option?
Definitely. We can create a customised plan for you - just get in touch.
My child can't make the scheduled days. What should I do?
Simply let us know your preferred time and join our waiting list. New groups open every month.
What levels do you offer?
Everything from complete beginners to Master Class.
How long is each class?
Every class runs for 60 minutes - a good balance of focus and fun.
If we miss a class, can we attend on a different day?
Absolutely. You can join another group at the same level.
How many children are in each group?
We cap groups at 10, but most are smaller - usually 4 to 6 students for maximum attention.
What do you offer outside the classes?
You'll have 7-day-a-week expert support, weekly tournaments and optional homework for students who want to progress faster.
If I take online lessons, can I still play in person?
Definitely. We prepare every student to compete over the board and help you find tournaments near you.
I'm a total beginner. How soon will I start winning?
Quickly. After just 5 sessions you'll be able to beat a beginner-level computer. After 6 months you'll be strong enough to beat most of your friends.
